Vice President Kashim Shettima has inaugurated the newly established Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) Campaign Head Office in Abuja as part of efforts to strengthen mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration was announced on Saturday by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications in the Office of the Vice President, in a post on X.
Nkwocha said the event brought together leaders and members of the movement, alongside other stakeholders, to formally launch its campaign structure.
He added that the gathering would also provide an opportunity to discuss the Tinubu administration’s economic reforms, infrastructure development and efforts to expand investment and economic opportunities across the country under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Arewa for Asiwaju is a political mobilisation platform established by northern political leaders, former governors and lawmakers to rally support for Tinubu’s re-election.
The movement operates across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Its 14-member Board of Trustees is chaired by Ibrahim Shekarau, a former governor of Kano State.
