Several vehicles belonging to supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) were reportedly vandalised in Kaduna State following an attack allegedly carried out by suspected political thugs linked to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The incident reportedly occurred when the suspected attackers arrived at the location in a vehicle armed with cutlasses and allegedly descended on cars parked at the scene.

Videos from the incident showed several ADC supporters’ vehicles with their windscreens and side windows smashed, leaving the cars extensively damaged.

One of the affected ADC members said he arrived at the location to find his vehicle being destroyed by the attackers, describing the incident as an attack on his political choice.

“I came and saw my car being destroyed. I won’t stay away from ADC for a second,” he said.

The victim further alleged that the attackers were armed with cutlasses and deliberately targeted vehicles belonging to ADC supporters.

“They came with cutlasses and destroyed the cars,” he said.

The incident comes amid increased political activities and opposition mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The ADC supporter said the attack would not deter him from backing the party, insisting that he would continue to oppose President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani through lawful and democratic means.

“I will NOT vote for Tinubu and Uba Sani. And when it comes to Tinubu and Uba Sani, my opposition is firm and unwavering. I will use every lawful and democratic means available to me to campaign against them and ensure they do not get my vote,” he said.
