Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has expressed condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and families of the 25 personnel who died in an aircraft crash on October 5.

Disu, in a condolence message, sympathised with the Chief of the Air Staff, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of the deceased.

The IGP described the fallen personnel as dedicated officers who lost their lives while serving the nation, stressing that their courage and sacrifice would remain remembered.

He assured the bereaved families that the Nigeria Police Force shares in their grief and would offer every support within its capacity during the difficult period.

As a mark of respect for the deceased, Disu directed that flags at police formations across the country be flown at half-mast in their honour.

He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the fallen personnel and strength for their families to bear the loss.
