The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, received a delegation of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), led by its President, Dr Moses Arokoyo, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the veterinary profession, particularly in areas that support public safety and police operations.
Discussions centred on deepening cooperation between the Police Veterinary Services and the NVMA, as well as leveraging professional expertise from the association to improve police veterinary facilities and strengthen support for the Force’s Canine Units and Mounted Troops.
The engagement also highlighted ongoing collaboration with international partners towards upgrading the Police Veterinary Laboratory to enhance its capacity and services.
