The committee was inaugurated on Wednesday in Abuja by the party’s National Chairman, Senator David Mark.
Mark said the initiative was necessary to resolve grievances and disagreements that emerged from the party’s recent primary elections and restore confidence among members.
He stressed that the outcome of an election within the party should not determine a member’s place or relevance in the ADC.
According to him, while primaries may produce candidates who will represent the party in the general elections, all aspirants, whether successful or unsuccessful, remain valuable members of the party.
Mark explained that the committee was established in accordance with Article 91 of the ADC Constitution and reflects the party’s “handshake” philosophy, which focuses on reconciliation, dialogue and building bridges among members despite their differences.
He urged party members to embrace the reconciliation process and work together towards presenting a united front in the 2027 elections.
