The Rivers State Police Command has reacted to the killing of a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the state, SP Bako Amgbanshim.
Recall that gunmen suspected to be cultists, on Friday, murdered Amgbanshim.
According to reports, Amgbanshim was captured and dismembered after the hoodlums captured him in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the miscreants had laid an ambush for him while on an operation with other police officers to raid some criminal hideouts in Ahoada East axis.
Reacting to the incident, the Rivers police command in a terse statement on its official X handle on Saturday, said the command will not rest until justice was served.
The statement said the police commissioner in the state mourned the death of Angbashim.
The statement reads, “Rivers killing: We will not rest until justice is served as CP mourns the cold-blooded killing of the DPO of Ahoda Division, SP Bako Angbashim, who displayed exemplary courage during a mission to combat criminal activities in the Odumude Area of Ahoada East LGA in Rivers State.
