The Force Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has maintained that the police will be their searchlight on gay practices, lesbianism, and other unnatural offenses.
He took his X account to react to the arrest of 67 suspects arrested at a gay wedding in Delta State.
“SEC 214 CC ON UNNATURAL OFFENSES: Gay Association or Club, you can imagine. Unnatural offenses are criminal and punishable under the law. They are even condemned in all religions. I think we need to take this new trend seriously and nip it in the bud.
“Sodomy, lesbianism, homosexuality etc are evil and criminal. Section 214 of the criminal code, the law of the federation, defines these. Parents and guidance should please act on them before they destroy our whole society.”
However, a user asked him why crossdressers, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju popularly as Bobrisky, and James Obialor popularly known as James Brown, have not been arrested for the lifestyle they portray.
“Bobrisky and James’s brown should be arrested first, they are the role model to the young gays and so o,” the X user @samzzy1999 said.
Responding, the FPRO said, “I think this is an eye-opener. Many Nigerians, including law enforcement agencies and MDAs, will take it more seriously and tackle these headlong. It’s disgusting and alien to our culture and tradition in Nigeria, even to us as the black race.
“I am sure every command will borrow a leaf from Delta State command. This feat recorded by Delta Command is commendable and it is a plus in the fight against this terrible trend of increased rate and spread of unnatural offenses in Nigeria
“I personally commend the efforts of the CP Delta and my good PRO, Bright, to take the bull by the horn. Kudos.”
