Unidentified Policeman, Brutally Attacked and Killed by Suspected Thugs in Kano
In an unfortunate incident on Tuesday, July 4, a policeman, whose identity remains unknown, was brutally hacked to death by suspected thugs in the Yakasai area of Kano municipal.
Eyewitnesses reported that the incident unfolded when a suspected thug disembarked from a tricycle near the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and was immediately attacked by a rival gang. The situation quickly escalated, and the police, upon their arrival, were unable to disperse the attackers. Instead, the thugs turned their aggression toward the police, pelting them with stones.
As the police vehicle attempted to retreat from the assault to avoid potential harm, one of the policemen fell to the ground. Seizing the opportunity, the assailants trampled upon him and mercilessly butchered him to death.
As of now, the state police command has not issued any official statement regarding this tragic incident.
