Troops of 1 Division have killed three terrorists in Kaduna State while on clearance and discreet operations.
This was disclosed by the acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Musa Yahaya in a statement.
Yahaya said the first operation was carried out on November 5, 2023, in the general area of Maidaro, Ngade, Ahla, and Rikau Villages in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.
According to him, troops made contact with terrorists and criminal elements.
He added, “On sighting the troops, the terrorists took to their heels as troops pursued and neutralized two while others escaped with gunshot wounds and abandoned one motorcycle.”
On the second operation, the army deputy spokesman said, “Similarly, on 5 November 2023, troops carried out a discreet operation around Tantatu and Antena general area in Chikun Local Government. During the operation, troops neutralized one terrorist, captured one AK 47 rifle, one AK 47 magazine, quantity seven of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, and two techno phones
