A man by the name, Alabo has been arrested by the Azikiwe Police Division, Mile 2 Diobu for allegedly inflicting several machete cuts on his female tenant and her husband.
The incident happened on the 15th of May last year at Ekwulobia Street Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Alabo, who was arrested on Sunday, November 12, attacked the female tenant because she allegedly turned down his love advance.
After executing the attack, the suspect fled since the incident and the police had been on his trail for several months.
The victim, Comfort Nwagadi confirmed Alabo’s arrest.
Narrating how the incident happened, Mrs Nwagadi said the suspect had ambushed her as soon as she got into the compound that day.
According to her, Alabo attacked her with a machete the moment she entered the compound cutting her on her head and fingers.
She said her husband who came to her rescue was also attacked by Alabo as he sustained several machete cuts.
Nwagadi also disclosed that the suspect began to target her after she turned down his love advances.
The incident is yet to be confirmed by the Rivers State Police Command as the two calls placed to the Spokesperson of the command were not reachable at the time of this report.
