The Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested officers captured in a trending video on social media who allegedly assaulted a lady.
The command disclosed this in a terse statement posted on its X handle on Monday.
The statement pleaded with the lady in the video to contact the command to share her side of the story.
The statement reads, “Update: The Police Officers on a video trending on social media have been arrested.
“The Command is pleading to the lady on the video to contact 08036219523 to share her side of the story as a case of assault on members of the Public by Police Officer is sacrosanct.”
Recall that the command had two days ago, assured the public that it would identify the officers and investigate the incident.
