Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State says the police is responsible for the peace that the state enjoys today.

Governor Uzodinma stated this at the ongoing conference and retreat for senior police officers organized by the Nigeria Police Force held at the Landmark Event Centre, Owerri, the state capital.

According to him, the high number of events being held in the state is a clear pointer to the fact that peace has returned to the state.

While commending the police for peace, the governor admitted that although some officers paid the supreme price for this, his government would stand by their families.

    More details shortly.
