A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the fire outbreak at the Supreme Court on Monday morning.
BITV earlier reported that the apex court in Abuja, the capital city was gutted by fire which has reportedly destroyed Ibrahim Saulawa’s chamber of the building. Saulawa is said to be one of the Supreme Court justices.
Taking to his official X handle on Monday, Omokri, known for his thought-provoking and controversial tweets, called on the authorities to carry out an urgent, important, thorough, and transparent investigation into the circumstances of this blaze.
According to him, without this, conspiracy theorists will have a field day and poison the minds of Nigerians concerning the Presidential Petition appeal of various parties that took part in the #NigerianElections2023.
He wrote, “The Supreme Court on fire? I call on the authorities to carry out an urgent, important, thorough, and transparent investigation into the circumstances of this blaze, otherwise, conspiracy theorists will have a field day and poison the minds of Nigerians concerning the Presidential Petition appeal of various parties that took part in the #NigerianElections2023.”
