President Bola Tinubu will swear in his new Ministers on Monday, August 21, 2023.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, Senator George Akume, the ceremony will be held at the State House Conference Centre, Aso Villa, Abuja.
“The swearing-in ceremony by the President is as follows:
Date: Monday 21st August 2023
Venue: State House Conference Centre, Aso Villa, Abuja.
Time: 10:00 AM
“Honourable Ministers to be sworn in are expected to come with two guests each.
“All Honourable Ministers and invited guests are to be seated by 9:00 am.”
It would be recalled that on July 27, 2023, President Tinubu forwarded a list of 28 nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
Again, the President sent an additional 20 names to the Senate for screening.
Out of the 48 screened, three nominees including former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai; Stella Okotete (Delta) and Danladi Abubakar (Taraba), were not confirmed due to issues relating to security clearance.
