The Nigeria Police Force has summoned the officers from the Kwara State Police Command who were captured in a viral video assaulting a member of the public.
Force Spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on his official X handle on Tuesday.
ACP Adejobi said the officers along with their commander have reported to the force headquarters.
According to him, such conduct by the officers is unacceptable and goes against the principles of the force.
“The officers in question have reported at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, along with their commander.
“They have been referred to the Force Provost Marshal, where they will face disciplinary actions. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability within the force,” the statement reads in part.
