The Police in Ogun State have arrested a notorious armed robbery suspect, identified as 33-year-old Owonikoko Akeem.
The suspect, who has been terrorizing residents of Obalende area of the State, was apprehended along Sagamu Ijebu Ode, Benin Highway at about 12:30 am on Sunday.
On sighting the Police on patrol, he abandoned his Toyota Camry in an attempt to escape. But he was accosted by the Policemen and taken into custody.
In his confessional statement, he fingered a Police Inspector, simply named Ola, who he procured guns from, the State Police Spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, said.
32 expended cartridges, 78 live cartridges, and a locally fabricated shotgun were found in the abandoned vehicle.

The Police say the suspect and exhibits will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for profiling and forensic examination.
