No less than 67 gay suspects were arrested while attending a same-sex wedding in Delta State.
They were arrested at Teebulus Hotel along Refinery Road, Ekpan, on Monday.
The Police named the couple, Daniel Pius ‘m’ (groom) and Maxwell Ohwonowho (bride).
The State Police Spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrest via his X (formerly Twitter) account.
He said, “Delta State Police Command has arrested 67 gay suspects at a hotel on 28/8/2023. They were at a suspected gay wedding ceremony between Daniel Pius ‘m’ (groom) and Maxwell Ohwonowho (bride) at Teebulus Hotel along refinery road Ekpan. I paraded them today at Ekpan Police Station.”
