Police Arrest Four Suspected Cultists For Stabbing Man In Abuja
Four suspected cult members have been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 32-year-old man, Labaran Usman, in Jabi Area of the Federal Capital Territory.
The suspects are 24-year-old Mubarak Ibrahim, 18-year-old Mohammed Adamu, 19-year-old Aliyu Ibrahim, and 48-year-old Ibrahim Tsoho Musa.
The first three suspects were arrested after Operatives attached to Utako Divisional Headquarters responded to a distress call that someone was stabbed by a group of young men suspected to be cult members around Jabi car park.
Two daggers used in perpetrating the dastardly act were recovered.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Musa from Jos North LGA, Plateau State. A search was conducted on his residence at Angwa Fulani Bwari, FCT, where one locally fabricated rifle loaded with six rounds of ammunition, one military camouflage trouser, and two daggers were recovered.
Investigations by the Police team have revealed how the suspects perpetrated the crime and other nefarious activities they have committed within the FCT, the State Police Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said.
The victim is responding to treatment.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Haruna Garba, tasked personnel to increase the tempo and aggressively flush out miscreants.
