A pastor has died after Dunamis Church located at Mission Ward, North Bank in Makurdi collapsed on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday as the building caved in.
Four individuals, it was gathered, were
observing prayers at the church building before the incident occurred.
According to reports, the other three persons escaped the wreckage.
The disaster also affected residential buildings and electricity infrastructure around the building.
The cause of the incident is however unclear.
The incident has been confirmed by the Benue State Police Command Spokesperson, Catherine Anene.
“Only one person has been confirmed dead for now”, she said.
