The National Association of Online Security News Publishers has honored the acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM.
IGP Egbetokun was honoured by the association at Civic Centre, VI Lagos.
This was disclosed by the Force Spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a short statement posted on his official X handle on Thursday night.
ACP Adejobi represented the acting IGP at the occasion.
The force spokesman disclosed that issues discussed at the conference included vehicle-related crimes, the introduction of the Nigeria Police Digitalized Central Motor Registry, CMR, tinted glass permit, and International Drivers Permit amongst others.
He wrote, “At the National Association of Online Security News Publishers conference and award where I rep the IGP who was honoured by the Ass today at Civic Centre, VI Lagos. Congrats to the IGP and the NPF.”

“We discussed and clarified issues pertaining to Vehicle-related crimes and the way forward, esp the introduction of the Nigeria Police Digitalized Central Motor Registry, CMR, tinted glass permit, International Drivers Permit, etc., at a press briefing in Ikeja Lagos today. We need to focus more on these crimes and enforce the law where necessary. We will continue to enlighten the general public on these initiatives. Thanks.”
