The suspect is accused of attacking the officer from behind with a knife while he was on duty before fleeing the scene.
In a wanted-person notice issued by the agency, the suspect’s identity and aliases
were listed as unknown.
The NDLEA described him as a Nigerian male, estimated to be between 20 and 40 years old, with his last known location given as the agency’s Toro Area Command in Bauchi State.
The agency said the suspect was wanted over the death of an officer who was carrying out his official duties at the command.
According to the notice, the suspect allegedly stabbed the officer from behind and immediately escaped from the area.
The NDLEA has appealed to members of the public to provide any information that could assist in locating and identifying the suspect.
Anyone who encounters or recognises him has been urged to promptly report to the nearest NDLEA office, police station or other security agency for appropriate action.
