The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has rejected reports circulating on social media that Hon. Ali Isah, representing Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency of Gombe State in the House of Representatives, was allocated 50 recruitment slots for his constituents.
The Corps said no appointment letters had been issued to any applicant under the ongoing 2026 recruitment exercise, describing the claim as misleading and capable of creating a false impression about the credibility of the recruitment process.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri.
The FRSC explained that applicants who successfully passed the screening and interview stages had only been invited to designated training schools and the FRSC Academy for further stages of the exercise.
It stressed that the invitation to training does not amount to an appointment, as successful candidates are still required to undergo training, screening, regimentation and other mandatory procedures before they can be considered for recruitment.
The Corps added that only candidates who successfully complete all prescribed stages and have no disqualifying records would eventually be considered for appointment.
The agency, under the leadership of Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, reaffirmed its commitment to conducting the recruitment exercise based on transparency, merit and due process.
It further clarified that no political office holder, organisation or individual outside the established recruitment framework has the authority to allocate appointments into the Corps.
The FRSC therefore urged applicants and members of the public to disregard unverified reports concerning the recruitment exercise and obtain information only through its official communication channels.
The Corps also warned job seekers to be cautious of fraudulent individuals who may exploit false recruitment claims to deceive or defraud them.
