Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu has told Nigerians that her husband, President Bola Tinubu is not a magician.
Tinubu, however pleased with citizens to have faith in the current administration.
The president’s wife stated this during an interdenominational service to mark Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary, held at National Christian Centre Abuja.
According to her, the recent trip of the president to the United Nations General Assembly in New York was full of success stories.
She said, “We came back with good news. All we inherited are things that happened many years ago. We are not here to apportion blame on any administration but to fix what is already damaged.”
The First Lady added: “My husband is not a magician; he is going to work bit by bit. And I believe and hope that you will have faith in this administration. The best is yet to come.”
Tinubu and his wife, Kashim Shettima were both sworn in as president and Vice President respectively on May 29, 2023.
