Some youths in Abeokuta on Tuesday, took to the streets in protest to demand justice for the death of singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.
Mohbad died last week Tuesday at age 27.
The protest took place in the Panseke area of the state.
They gathered in their numbers at the skating ground arena in Abeokuta wearing blacks and carrying placards with inscriptions such as #JusticeForMohbad, #Who off Light among others.
Mohbad was a former signee in Marlian Records, owned by Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.
In his tribute to the deceased, Naira Marley described Mohbad as “more than an artiste or signee but brother and dear friend” to him.
The police in Lagos have also commenced an investigation into the death of the singer and on Monday, inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team.
“Do not forget, we have unique access with INTERPOL. Everybody linked to it (the death of Mohbad) will be identified and they will be brought to establish their level of involvement,” Lagos State Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa said on Monday.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday, invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation already ongoing over the death of the singer.
