Mmesoma Ejikeme Confirms Receiving Text Message from JAMB Regarding UTME Score
Mmesoma Ejikeme, a student from Anambra, has confirmed that she received an automated text message from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) stating that her UTME score was 249. This confirmation was made during her interview on Sunrise Daily, a program on Channels Television.
JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, had previously stated that the candidate had sent multiple messages to the board’s automated telecoms system, which included results showing an aggregate score of 362.
In response to this, Mmesoma clarified that she had only sent one SMS to JAMB through its support system. When asked if she received any feedback, she mentioned that she did not receive a reply. However, she urged JAMB to check their support system, where they would find her message.
Regarding the claim that she used an Airtel line, Mmesoma confirmed it but clarified that she did not use the USSD code.
In regard to the feedback from JAMB indicating her score as 249, she agreed with the information. She expressed that after everything that happened, she discovered her score to be 249. She had sent a text message to JAMB through their support system to inquire about what had occurred, and she believes JAMB can find her message in their system.
The 19-year-old Anambra student has been in the spotlight due to allegations of UTME score forgery.
