In a heartening turn of events, Mrs. Ayodele Idowu Lawal, a 63-year-old social worker and member of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW) Lagos State Chapter, who had been reported missing in Lagos State, has been located.
The incident unfolded when Lawal, a resident of the Igando area in Lagos State, was declared missing on Monday. The NASoW Chairperson in the state, Ms. Olubunmi Lamilisa, disclosed to DAILY POST that Lawal was discovered on Tuesday.
According to Lamilisa, Lawal had been involved in an accident and was currently receiving care in a private health facility in Shibiri, Ojo local government area of the state. Further information revealed that she had subsequently been transferred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for comprehensive medical attention.
Providing an update on Lawal’s condition, Lamilisa shared, “Mrs. Ayodele Folorunsho Lawal has been found. She was involved in an accident and is being managed in a private health facility in Shibiri, Ojo LGA of Lagos State, before being moved to LASUTH this afternoon, where top management, medical social workers, and directors of nursing rallied around her.”
She added, “She is semi-conscious as she sustained various degrees of fractures. We ask for your prayers and support for her speedy recovery. We are indeed very grateful for the wide publicity and support given to the NASoW family.”
This remarkable turn of events marks a hopeful chapter in the search for Mrs. Lawal, and the NASoW community expresses gratitude for the widespread assistance and concern during this challenging time.
