It appears the warning by the Lagos State Police Command has been heeded as there was no sign of any gathering on Friday at the Lekki Tollgate.
The Police Command, through its Spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin had warned that it would not tolerate any form of gathering or convergence in the vicinity of the tollgate to mark the third anniversary of the #EndSARS protest.
“Buses at/by Oriental Hotel suggests stopping/waiting of buses and gathering of passengers. For the avoidance of doubt, no gathering/convergence whatsoever would be allowed anywhere around the toll gate,” Hundeyin said.
Social media was awash on Thursday with fliers stating that a peaceful walk would be held at Lekki Toll Gate on Friday.
However, according to reports and pictures on Friday, the tollgate is currently without any gathering or protest at 10:30 a.m.
