The Police in Lagos State has said the #Endsars Memorial protesters would be safe provided they carry out their operations within the ambit of the understanding they have with security operatives.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Idowu Owohunwa made the assurance on Friday while speaking to journalists at the 3rd Year Memorial of the #Endsars protest at Lekki Tollgate.
Citizens, he noted, have the rights to exercise their freedom and the Police must give them protection.
The Police boss , however said while visiting the location, groups must stay clear of any activity that would put the security and peace of Lekki and its environs at risk.
He disclosed that two groups have so far, visited the Lekki location for the third year anniversary of the #Endsars/Lekki Tollgate shooting.
He added that the groups coordinated themselves properly.
