A native doctor in Anambra State, Chukwudozie Nwangwu, popularly known as Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki, has been released by his abductors.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed his release on Saturday.
According to him, the native doctor was released by his abductors in the early hours of Saturday.
It would be recalled that Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki was kidnapped around at his Triple P Hotel in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area, on Sunday, July 23.
The abductors were said to have contacted his family and demanded millions of naira as ransom for his release.
“I also have information that they have not paid. I also have information that he has been released by his abductors and we are making efforts to get information behind what happened”, the PPRO said.
