Former President, Goodluck Jonathan is currently meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Jonathan arrived at the villa at noon and was warmly recieved by Tinubu before the two men went into a closed-door meeting.
The meeting comes a day after the Supreme Court affirmed the election of Tinubu as Nigeria’s president.
According to reports, the visit of Jonathan to Tinubu may not be unconnected to his work as Special Envoy of the Economic Community of West African States where he is leading mediation talks even as Mali remains under military rule following the August 2020 coup that ousted President Ibrahim Keita.
