The Nigeria Police Force has released the logo of the newly created Department of Force Intelligence.
This was disclosed in a terse statement issued and posted by the Force Spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, and posted on his official X handle.
ACP Adejobi called on members of the public to take note of the logo and work with them.
He wrote, “Behold, the logo of the new Department of Force Intelligence. Take note, and work with them. We need to heighten our Intelligence-driven policing styles. God bless NPF, bless IGP, and FRN.”

Recall that the acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM
on September 7, approved the upscaling of the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) to a Department in the Nigeria Police Force to consolidate current strides in the advancement of police efforts to strengthen and enhance the NPF intelligence capabilities for an improved internal security mechanism to bolster the ability to combat modern-day challenges effectively.
As part of the transformative move, the IGP also approved the appointment of Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Habu Sani, a seasoned and highly experienced officer, as the new Head of the Force Intelligence Department (FID).
He also approved the appointment of Assistant Commissioners of Police to head Zonal Intelligence Departments (ZIDs) and State Intelligence Departments (SIDs) nationwide.
