Incumbent Governor Diri Douye of Bayelsa State has been declared the winner of the November 11th Governorship election in the state.
Diri, who contested the poll under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was declared winner by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday evening.
INEC returning officer, Prof Faruq Kuta announced diri as the winner of the poll at the state collation Centre of the election.
The governor polled a total of 175,196 votes to beat his closest rival, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 110,108 votes while the Labour Party got 905 votes.
