Late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya’s first son, Jimmy Odukoya has been announced as the General Overseer (GO) of the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos.
Jimmy is also a pastor and Nollywood actor.
This was announced during Sunday service by a member of the Church’s Board of Trustees Pastor Rotimi Okpaise.
Okpaise confirmed that the late Pastor Odukoya had put in place a succession plan before his passage.
Recall that the late senior Odukoya was bereaved twice after losing his two wives.
In December 2021, the pastor also lost his twin sister, Kehinde Hassan, to cancer.
He died on the 7th of August in the United States of America at age 67. He was buried on September 9, 2023.
According to reports, the succession, which has received the blessing of the Church’s BoT and Bishop Mike Okonkwo, who is the spiritual mentor of the late Odukoya, will formally take place on the 30th of September.
Jimmy was educated at Oral Roberts University, United States.
In addition to acting, Jimmy is also a musician. He played one of the lead roles — Oba Ade — in Netflix’s ‘Woman King’ movie.
He has also been featured in movies like ‘Lifting the Veil’, ‘I am Nazzy’, and ‘Oga Pastor’, among others.
Aside from acting, he is also a motivational speaker.
