Tottenham Hotspur’s star striker Harry Kane is on the verge of transferring to Bayern Munich, according to Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou’s confirmation. The two clubs are said to have agreed upon an initial fee of 100 million euros for the 30-year-old player, who had just one year remaining on his contract with Spurs.
Kane has been granted permission to travel to Germany to undergo a medical examination before finalizing the move, which would set a new record for the highest transfer fee paid by a Bundesliga club.
As Postecoglou prepares to lead Tottenham in his first match against Brentford on Sunday, he revealed that plans are being made considering Kane’s imminent departure. He stated that “the deal is imminent” but also mentioned the need for some flexibility in such matters.
Bayern Munich’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, earlier expressed that securing Kane’s transfer is a top priority for the club. Bayern will begin their season against RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup on Saturday, with the Bundesliga season’s commencement scheduled for the following weekend.
