Borno state Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, in his effort to cushion the effect of the economy situation that is taking toll on many residents of Borno State, decided to share foodstuffs and cash to not less than twenty five thousand people.
The event took place as Zulum paid homage to Sheu of Bama, HRH, Alh. Kyari Ibn Ibrahim at his residence. Some of the items distributed include 25kg of rice and 25kg of maize to twenty-five thousand men, while not less than forty-five thousand women received five thousand naira each and a wrapper.
Governor Zulum, further promised to regularly convene meetings, in which all stakeholders will be in attendance, in order to look into how food crisis can be tackled in the state as the situation is at alarming stage.
He, however, appreciate the effort of the federal government, security services, and vigilante group who have been persistently supporting the state since the beginning of an upsurge in insecurity in the state.
