The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday, appointed the immediate-past Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the party.
The ninth Senate Spokesperson, Ajibola Basiru, was also appointed as National Secretary.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima also joined the Party leaders at the 12th NEC meeting held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
The newly appointed Chairman has promised to hit the ground running to ensure victory for the party in all forthcoming governorship elections across the country.
