A section of the Rivers State House of Assembly in Port Harcourt has been gutted by fire.
The complex was razed by the inferno on Sunday by 10 pm.
The fire affected the hallowed chamber of the house.
The inferno was put out by firefighters before it could raze the entire complex.
The fire incident comes following rumors that lawmakers had planned to begin an impeachment process against Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.
Fubara is reported to be having a rift with the immediate past governor cum FCT minister, Nyesom Wike
