Federal Government workers at all levels will get the sum of N25,000 as palliative to ameliorate the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy.
This was announced by the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila on Sunday after the Federal Government met with organised labour at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
“The 25,000 naira earlier announced by President Tinubu for low-grade federal workers as an intervention is now to cut across all levels of workers,” Gbajabiamila said.
This statement was issued following the ongoing meeting with the National Labour Union (NLC) and the Trade Union Commission (TUC) over the looming nationwide strike on October 3rd.
The meeting at the instance of the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, is being attended by some ministers.
Last Tuesday, the organised labour comprising the leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) announced their decision to commence an indefinite strike on October 3.
