FCT Police Command has debunked reports making rounds on media platforms alleging that kidnappers dressed in Police uniforms have kidnapped 17 persons from the Apo area of Abuja.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the report is a figment of the author’s imagination as no incident of such happened within the FCT.
In the same vein, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Haruna Garba, had enjoined non-state actors, who have been engaging the Police emergency lines in their mischievous posts aimed at misleading members of the public and those submitting same to obtain loans to desist from such.
He stressed that emergency lines should be used for its intended purpose and actions will be taken to arrest and prosecute the purveyors of these illegal acts.
The CP urges residents of the FCT to cooperate with the Police for improved service delivery.
