Distinguished figures including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon (retd), and former Minister of Defence General T. Y. Danjuma are set to honor the Book Presentation event for elder statesman and South-South leader Chief Edwin Clark.
The event, scheduled to take place on August 17, 2023, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, at 11:00 a.m., will witness the presence of key personalities such as President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, royal leaders including Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), the Ooni of Ife; Sultan of Sokoto Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar; and Oba of Benin His Majesty Omo N’Oba Ewuare II, among others.
The governors of Bauchi, Bayelsa, Delta, and Taraba States, along with other eminent personalities, will host the occasion. The event’s book reviewer will be Professor Oserheimen Osunbor.
The autobiography, titled “Brutally Frank,” narrates the life journey of Chief (Dr.) E. K. Clark, OFR, CON. Former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon will chair the event, while former Minister of Defence General T. Y. Danjuma will serve as Chief Presenter.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, is slated to deliver a Keynote Address, and the Book Review will be conducted by Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, former Governor of Edo State.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is anticipated to attend as the Special Guest of Honour. The event will also be graced by former Presidents, Heads of State, Governors, Members of the National Assembly, and a multitude of distinguished guests.
Prominent traditional leaders including Sultan of Sokoto Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, Oba of Benin His Majesty Omo N’Oba Ewuare II, Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and more will also be in attendance.
The Governors of Bauchi, Bayelsa, Delta, and Taraba States will serve as Chief Hosts for the event. Additionally, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, industry leaders, religious figures, and representatives from socio-cultural organizations will enrich the event with their presence.
