Immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for winning the governorship elections in Imo and Kogi states.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State was re-elected for a second term in office while Usman Ododo was elected governor of Kogi State in the November 11 off-circle governorship elections.
Buhari, in a statement issued by his Spokesman, Garba Shehu on Monday, also thanked the people of the two States for reaffirming their confidence in the “nation’s biggest political party.”
According to Shehu, “The former President thanks particularly the party leaders and the workers who laboured tirelessly to ensure the re-emergence of Senator Hope Uzodimma @Hope_Uzodimma1 for his second term in Imo State, and Alhaji Usman Ododo @OfficialOAU as the new Governor of Kogi State.”
He quoted the former Nigerian leader as saying, “My best wishes to them for their tenure.”
