The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday, began the screening proceedings of the nominee for the position of Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede at the National Assembly.
Olukoyede was a few days ago, appointed by President Bola Tinubu following the suspension of the former anti-agency head, Abdulrasheed Bawa, close to four months ago.
Tinubu recently authorised Olukoyede’s appointment as the Executive Chairman of the EFCC, and the nomination is subject to Senate confirmation.
