The election of Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah was on Friday, upheld by the Appeal Court sitting in Lagos.
Mbah’s election was upheld by the three-man panel of the appellate court in a case filed by the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in the state, Chijioke Edeoga.
The court affirmed the judgment of Enugu Tribunal delivered on September 9, 2023, by the Hon. Justice K.M. Akano led tribunal.
The court also resolved in Mbah’s favour, all the three issues which were subject of the appeal.
The governor contested the governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
