The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has affirmed the election of Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia.
The court dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate in the March guber polls, Titus Uba.
The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in the state had on September 23, dismissed the petition by the PDP and Uba against the return of Alia.
Alia contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the governorship election held on March 18.
In a unanimous ruling, a three-member panel resolved the three issues that were for determination against the appellants.
The court held that the appeal lacked merit.
