The Assistant Inspector of Police in charge of Zone 12 comprising Bauchi and Gombe State Commands, AIG Dasuki Danbappa Galadanchi, has charged Police Officers to be disciplined and discharge their duties in line with extant law.
The AIG stated this when he assumed duty at the Zonal Command Headquarters in Bauchi State on Friday.
AIG Galadanchi promised to deploy modern-day policing systems in line with global best standards and practices to address the security challenges facing the people of Bauchi and Gombe States.
He also expressed his readiness to collaborate with the Governors of Bauchi and Gombe States, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad, and Inuwa Yahaya, to ensure that the protection of lives and properties in their respective States is paramount.
He appealed to the residents of the States to be security conscious and report any suspicious acts capable of threatening the peace in the area to the Police and other security agencies for prompt action.
Meanwhile, he expressed his gratitude to the acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for having the confidence in him to reposition the Zone for effective and efficient policing.
Prior to his appointment as the 27th AIG of the Zonal Command, he has previously served in Imo, Lagos, CTU FHQ Abuja, and other formations.
