Landslide that occurred in Philippines have seen a three years old girl trapped under the rubble for sixty hours before she was rescued.
The natural disaster occurred at a village called Davao de Pro province in the Mindanao region on Tuesday. After hours of searching and rescues, rescuers had already given up on their further finding and rescuing before she was eventually found which has been tagged as ” A Miracle” According to Edward Macapili, a disaster agency official of the Davao de Pro Province.
The landslide destroyed houses and engulfed three buses and jeepney a type of minibus waiting to pick up workers from the gold mine. Philippines are prone to landslide because of heavy rainfall, mountainous terrain and widespread deforestation as a result of illegal mining and logging in the country.
Many people have been forced to live their house and take refuge in emergency shelters.
Rescuer have been reportedly forced to stop as magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck on Saturday.
