New Liverpool Director Regrets Selling Osimhen At Wolfsburg
Liverpool’s new sporting director Jorg Schmadtke has admitted he regrets selling Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during his developing stage at Wolfsburg.
Both Osimhen and Schmadtke were together with Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg.
The 24-year-old footballer is now considered one of the best strikers in the world.
Speaking with Kicker, 59-year-old Schmadtke said, “It wasn’t a good move, in hindsight. When I came, he [Osimhen] was limping and running in circles.
“I was told that the strikers we had weren’t good enough. The most important lesson is that you have to be patient with some transfers.”
