He Tried To Kill Me, Seun Kuti Reveals Why He Slapped Police Officer
Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has revealed the circumstances that led to him assaulting a Police Officer on duty in Lagos State.
In a video that went viral on Saturday, Seun Kuti was seen slapping and shoving a Police Officer on Third Mainland Bridge.
He took to Instagram shortly after the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, ordered his arrest and prosecution if found culpable, claiming that the Policeman tried to kill him and his family.
“He tried to kill me and my family. I have the proof but I no dey chase clout. He has apologized and I have agreed not to press charges.
“Make una mind una business make the poor guy no lose his job (You all should mind your business so the officer will not lose his job).
“I welcomed the invitation and I’ll give it my full cooperation. I also pray to the IG that whoever is wrong should be indicted.”
