Jealous Man Beats Ex-Wife To Death

A 56-year-old man, Aminu Abubakar, allegedly beat his ex-wife, Nana Fadimatu, to death following a disagreement that ensued between them when he heard that the deceased was getting married the next day.

The incident occurred on Friday at Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The suspect, who is said to be a Manager of Anasam Table Water, has only one child with the deceased after nine years of their marriage.

He was apprehended on Saturday after the victim’s new husband, Mahmud Rufai, reported the incident at Shagari Divisional Police Headquarters.

According to the State Police Spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, he was furious about her marriage and hit her with a hard object. She fell unconscious and was later announced dead.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, has deployed officers from the Anti-Homicide Unit attached to State CID to take over the investigation and ensure the law takes its course.
