Police Set Alaba Shanties On Fire
Lagos State Police Command, on Friday, said it set ablaze shanties around Alaba International Market, debunking reports that the main market was on fire.It was gathered that the shanties had been mapped out as criminal hideouts.
The State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who debunked the narrative of an inferno in a tweet, said:
“This is a false narrative! Acting on credible information, Police Officers from Ojo Division raided shanties around the market, arrested suspected criminals, and recovered some weapons. The shanties were thereafter set on fire.”
